ACT Seminars

The Institute offers the following seminars for the ACT:

English                          $400
During this workshop, we will lecture on the two areas of the English Section of the ACT: Usage and Mechanics, and Rhetorical Skills. We will cover punctuation, basic grammar and usage, and sentence structure. Students will learn effective strategies for recognizing the elements of the reading pasages that the ACT tests. The Institute provides lunch for all students attending this workshop.

Math                             $400
This workshop covers all subjects on the Math section of the ACT, including: Pre-Algebra, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Plane Geometry, and Trigonometry. Multiple drills—all from real ACT exams, will be given and explained. Lunch will be provided. 

Advanced Math            $200
This workshop is designed for advanced students who hope to attain a perfect score on the Math section. The Head of the 36 ACT program will reveal strategies for solving problems of the utmost difficulty.

Reading                         $250
This workshop teaches students how to attack the Reading section of the ACT. Students will learn how to identify details, main ideas, author's points of view, and cause-effect relationships. They will also learn how to draw inferences, make comparisons and analogies, and use context to determine unfamiliar words.
